I know i should be staying at my BLOoDY room lying on my BLOODY bed studying the BLOODY Khalifah. But due to the unresisting urge to toss a disc after stopping play ultimate for, 2 days *lol*, this BLOODY blog sadly became the victim for me to blast out my stress.
OK, i'm not talking anything about history. Yes, since this is a frisbee blog so we shall talk abit about FRISBEE.
Sharing out mine and some of the seniors thought about the current CHS frisbee level:
-Every game of Every training of every week of every month of every year, anyone that took a glance through the field will have a thought in their mind : WTF WALAO, a CLUMP of homo sapiens running CHICKENLY on the grass chasing a plate.*notice the word a CLUMP* We as a frisbee player will say, : WTH, CLOG LIKE HELL la.
**This is actually one of the major mistake of every amateur team, which i believe even el-ninos sometimes encounter this problem. But the scenario in CHS is worse. Clearly, none of the CHS players are aware of this problem, even if they are, they can't help themselves in solving this case.
Why? *sry ah i have to be straight in this*
Firstly the leaders of the team do not understand in what way the game should behave, means even themselves often clog the gaming zone. And, what are drills for?
TO IMPROVE THE FLOW AND MAKE THE PLAY MORE DYNAMIC. *as in everyone knows what to do now and next*.
Yes, everyone knows this thing. But, this can only be done when they are applying what they learned when they did the drills into the game-play. So problem arise now,
Did you guys learn from the drills?
Ans : Not so. *my view*
so How?
I would say, the crucial key for a team to improve is their leader has to be well prepared always, having the alertness to detect every mistakes everyone did *ok, not every*, having the ability to utilize every second to maximize the output, and the most IMPORTANT ONE, having the passion to double triple quadruple quintuple the effort to improve the team.
(this is what we call a leader)
Of course lah, every member of it have to work really hard too. IF
YOU PEOPLE WANT TO BEAT U8 SOAR. *your aim aren't set for nuts*
Not to mention the foundation of everyone(throws, cutting, etc.) isn't strong enough, even mine are weak. Just practice more, watch more video, see more people play, and play more.

its out COMFIRMED. if you can spot the blue cones, but we still let it be, because...
but the thing i want to focus here is not whether its out or not. As js said in the previous post, frisbee is a self-referree game. players judge de game THEMSELVE and outsiders (players on the sideline) cannot judge for them. what if happened something like above again? only the 2 players can judge. the one catching and the one marking. if the one marking thinks its out, den he will call out. den if the one catching thinks dat he out, he will let the turnover, if he thinks he nvr out, den he can contest.
you may say it may be very unfair bcuz players may contest or call foul for the sake of winning the game. example: although he noe he memang foul d, but to remain possesion, he called contest for a rethrow. THIS IS A FU*KED UP ATTITUDE. never do dis. the spirit of the game says that never call foul whenever theres no foul, and never contest when you are wrong at the 1st point. lose den lose la, so kia su for wat.

As yubin said, the main objective of this tournament is to promote frisbee to fellow chs-ian.
Frankly i think we've did it well.
Not only new players who participated, we played great matches as an example to the form 1's in block E.
I bet most of them are watching!

Post Interhouse Play-off and AGM and friendly
darling members,
1st of all, congratz to GREEN house (durians) imerged as the champion of this interhouse frisbee play-off after winning ALL matches in the pool. Lefting out kwan seng from the skul team before dis was a BIG MISTAKE.
but the team that won everyone's respect i would say is RED house. during the preparation, i was very worried that red house could not get enuf ppl to participate. but they ended up getting more then enuf ppl!! A big clap to xing kun for all this hardwork. if yanjang was there, u all would have played btr. 99.9 percent of them there are new faces. I hope they can continue with this sport, then dis event can be concluded as A SUCCESS.
BLUE house was working very hard to find new faces although they already had a very good lineup. On friday, blue house got the most member on the field, and that was impressive. you all showed us wat is the spirit of the game.
for yellow....haiz....i tot yellow can get enuf ppl but...
PURPLE house, played decently well, but there is still way more spaces for improvement (expecially younger players)...
The main motif of this event is to promote frisbee and i think we did it. Alot of new faces in this tournament, so no worries dat its like our normal training only. the second is to enhance the spirit of the game. Always remember that spirit at the 1st place, then only the standing. So, im now thinking wat to give to the team with the best spirit.
Next event, AGM.
next friday, at 3A1 i think. tell EVERYONE you know in frisbee club and make sure they are there by.......12.45pm. means go there straight after skul ends. we will finish it ASAP and we will have our installation. a simple yet exciting ceremony and......................the DIVINE MATCH.
its easy. to prove that the club do not need us, the old committee anymore cuz we are simply too old, CHS frisbee club will have to challenge the old batch of committee, a game to 7. means, 6 of us vs others (of course 6 by a time) and then, make sure you win.

monash and sunway want to have a friendly with us maybe in a week or two. dis will be de last match for all form 5 and form 3 i guess. now, monash is busy organizing it, maybe u8soar will join in too ^^ rematch with u8...there is some special meaning for some of us. anyway, we shall w8 and c wat monash can do, but we had decided to choose the best players from chs to play only. around 15 players will be chosen according to thier performance in interhouse.

ratio : 2 gal 4 boy by default (offence can call for ratio)

ok, yesterday some of you didnt play well. maybe most of you. handling the disc to push infront during a game very suk. not fluent at all. yesterday set piece terrible, only can use hucks to damage enemy.
something very impressive is......not us. is u8soar from usj8. they are same as us, secondary students, age btwin 15-17 (except william chew), why dey can do dat well in pushing de disc up. fluent cut and stable throws. distance not very far, but very safe. dey improved ALOT compare to u8soar junior cup.
so, now isnt de time to blame each other, but time to change. "Yes We Can" from barrack obama.
so, screw nonsence and keep your butt moving. from now on, i expect school team to come every friday RIGHT IN TIME 1.45pm with pjpk shirt on. screw other club activities and meetings or bye bye. drills will resume. i did a wrong dicision to give up drills few months ago.

Attention CHS Players
Who's going for the Hat tourney this July 26th?
For the newer players, a Hat tournament is one of the best opportunities to improve your game. Personally, I think I've learnt more playng in hat tournaments than in normal team tourneys. In a Hat tourney, you register yourself as individual players, rating yourself on your skills, etc and your name will then be pulled out of a hat into a team. This way, ALL the teams will be pretty much be an even terms. Don't worry if you're new, this is the best way to improve. You get to play with more experienced players and can learn from them. There is no such thing as "I'm not good enough" in a Hat team!

somehow their thought had reminded me on the air condition currently. and the EL NINO!!!! phenomenon.
Yes!. Haze Strikes SEA again. especially malaysia. klang valley. The air pollution index(API) for klang valley and cheras has reached 138 and 107 respectively. and it is at categorize as "very polluted" which is unhealthy for our health.
klang valley, is a heavy industrial zone, makes the condition worse.
FYI, the Major primary pollutants produced by human activity include:
Sulphur Oxides, Nitrogen Oxides, Carbon Monoxides, Carbon Dioxide, volatile organic compounds(methane), particulate matter, Toxic Metals(lead, cadnium, copper), Chlorofluorocarbons(CFCs), ammonia, Odors, and radioactive pollutants.
(you may ignore this part, its not coming out in the exams)
and thats the effect of El Nino. Poor tree. The mean temperature for Malaysia now is 33-34 degree Celcius, and scientist say the El Nino will raise the temperature for 3 degree Celcius. And it is gonna be OMG-ing Hot. (i can't find a better adjective) :D
Remember 3 years ago, the API of malaysia reached 500 for a moment. The visibility for that time was just almost 1km. And i got sick that time. SO!
Avoid outdoors activity.

What is a Hat tournemant?
Players register and rate themselves on their skill level chart, and the oraganisers will try their best to even teams based on that. Your team will likely be made up of people you've never met! This allows you to meet new people, and playing with unfamiliar players is great way for improving your skill! All are welcome, regardless of skill level.

This tournament is a first come first serve basis. 120 players is the cap for this tournament.

Players who had registered during U8 junior cup does not need to apply again.Please complete the registration and sent it to monash[dot]ultimate [at]gmail[ dot]com.
Deadline for registration and payment is 12thJuly 2009. Organisers will not entertain any submissions or payment after the due date.
Mode of payment: On every Wednesday and Saturday David and Yi Ping will be at KBU pick up to collect. For account transfer, please send a request to the above email. PLEASE KEEP YOUR TRANSACTION STATEMENTS AS EVIDENCE AND BRING IT ON TOURNEY DAY.
The theme of the tournament is "Pimp My Hat". Participants are encouraged to wear their funkiest or eye-catching headwear on the tournament day. The best hat will win a surprise gift.
Lunch and drinks will be provided on the tournament day.Further details will be announced a week before the tournament.

alright since requested , i will do a short update about MUO before the MUO fever fades.
chs players who participated are
me(js), william, darling president, darren, hock eu, kim, chyeleng, kok choon.
and, a very brilliant performance from will, d.president, darren, kim, chyeleng in this tournament.
all of them dived!! a very memorable dive D from william, yubin n chyeleng. ***damn geng lah***
kim scoring rage still there. dived and scored twice ***claps**** (and of course she scored alot by overcoming insane girls from singapore and thailand)
a sad thing is,
i didnt dive. *nia nia* BUT
i felt improvement in my handling. =D
FYI, singapore and thailand frisbee player are excellent. if chs is rated 50 mark, then elninos is 100. and sg & thai are definitely >200.
the final of the tournament was awesome, if anyone of you saw them playing, IT WILL definitely motivate you to train urself. and, perhaps CHS can send a team next year =D
elninos got 14th out of 16 teams. personally i am satisfy with the result. everyone gave everything and had fun. seriously very fun.
and we brought back.
experience, a discraft, a shirt, a picture with a 2.1m tall man, and a tanned & sunburned skin.
el-ninos captain says, we will challenge singapore youth team before he turn 21.
i say, chs will challenge and win u8soar after SPM. or earliest. CHS Open =)

As u all known, the world now is getting more polluted day by day.
The Scientists Doomsday clock is getting near to 12, and currently, it is just 5 minutes away from the midnight.
The world is getting worse,
Thinning of Ozone layer,
Changing in Climax,
Deforestation,
Pollution,
Acid Rain,
Greenhouse Effect.
all these are affecting mine, yours, and everyone's health.
Its getting hotter nowdays, many ppl got sick.
and stress from the midyear exam too.
Plus, the fear of A(H1N1) influenza, make the condition worse
No matter u are sick or healthy, pls take care of yourself.If you are healthy, Drink more water and avoid open activities at afternoon.
If you are sick, TAKE CARE, Sleep enough, eat enough, rest enough.
People says, an apple a day, keeps the doctor away.Claim an apple from me, if you feel you need it. Seriously. =)
